Elliot Page is back with filmmaker Christopher Nolan, and this time, it’s for his new epic movie The Odyssey. The actor said reading the script for The Odyssey gave him the same emotions he felt while working on Nolan’s hit movie Inception (2010).
Page, best known for playing Ariadne in Inception, shared that the new project is filled with mystery, excitement, and deep emotion. “When I read The Odyssey script, it felt like being on a fast-moving ride,” he said at New York Comic Con 2025. “It reminded me of reading Inception — big ideas that slowly start to make sense, and then it all just pulls you in.”
Just like Nolan’s past films, the process was super secret. Page said he had to go to a private office, read the script there, and then leave without taking any notes. “It was the same kind of secrecy as Inception,” he added. “But that’s what makes it exciting — you know you’re part of something big.”
Elliot also said he was thrilled to work with Christopher Nolan again after more than a decade. “I loved working on Inception. When Chris asked me to come back, it was an easy yes. I can’t share much about my role, but it’s been a joy to be back — especially feeling more confident in myself now.”
While his exact role in The Odyssey hasn’t been revealed yet, the film already has a massive star lineup. Matt Damon will play Odysseus, Tom Holland will play his son Telemachus, and the cast also includes Zendaya, Anne Hathaway, Robert Pattinson, Mia Goth, and Lupita Nyong’o.
The movie is an adaptation of Homer’s ancient Greek epic poem, following the long and dangerous journey of Odysseus as he tries to return home after the Trojan War.
Fans are already buzzing with excitement. Tickets for the IMAX 70mm screenings of The Odyssey sold out within an hour — a full year before its release! This makes it one of the most anticipated upcoming movies of 2025.
Christopher Nolan is shooting The Odyssey entirely on IMAX film cameras, marking a first for any feature movie. The film promises huge visuals, emotional storytelling, and the same mind-bending energy that made Inception a classic.
🎬 The Odyssey is set to hit theaters worldwide on July 17, 2025.
